Cooking classes are back!
Join me for a limited run of hands-on cooking classes followed by a family-style meal
Welcome back to the FROM MY LITTLE KITCHEN COOKING CLASSES, where food and cooking meet the embrace of old friends and the warmth of new companionship.
Nestled in the heart of our home, our kitchen, you will to join us in a celebration of food, friends, flavours, and fun!
Allow yourself to be enveloped in hospitality, as myself and Isaac (our seasoned sous chef and master of prosecco), welcome you with open arms and upstairs to the kitchen.
Picture yourself, glass of bubbles in hand, indulging in delicious morsels lovingly prepared to whet your appetite.
Fresh homemade ricotta, draped in the sweetness of local honeycomb, nestled atop golden focaccia, adorned with roasted grapes—a divine prelude to the culinary journey that awaits.
Amidst the laughter and chatter of newfound friends, you'll find your place at the pasta board, ready to embark on a voyage of doughy delight.
With skilled guidance, you'll craft two distinct pasta doughs—one rich with the golden hues of semolina, the other tender and pillowy, the essence of gnocchi.
As the dough rests, we will have time to replenish our glasses, and pause to enjoy another bite or two before re-setting for my favourite kind of therapy - pasta shaping.
With flour-dusted hands, we delve into the art of shaping, trying different techniques before settling on a shape as a group to prepare for our meal.
But our culinary journey doesn't end there, dessert is calling!
With reverence for tradition, we honour my Nonna's legacy with the creation of her classic tiramisu. This version is unlike what you see in restaurants and will be taken home with you to enjoy by yourself or with your nearest and dearest if you’re so willing to share!
While sauces bubble and pestos bloom, the table is set, adorned with delicious ingredients reminiscent of the Italian countryside - vino rosso flowing, focaccia abundant, and thick chunks of parmigiano reggiano drizzled with aged balsamic.
And as the final flourish of pasta meets plate, it’s time to sit and relax and savour the rest of the day - a testament to the bonds forged over cooking shared meals and cherished memories.
Dessert - my Nonna’s tiramisu that I prepared earlier for you - is served alongside coffee and our homemade limoncello, a cheerful nod to the joys of companionship.
This cooking class isn’t just about learning something new, it’s a reminder of the nourishing essence that food can bring for both body and spirit.
So why not join us in the heart of our home where each bite is not only delicious, but a gesture of warmth and connection?
We can’t wait to welcome you.
